How to complete an offer.
Offers can also be completed with quotations related to the following services :
- installation supervision costs;
- costs of packaging
- costs for container
- loading and fixing transport costs
- other costs: fees for Letter of Credit confirmation, fees for bank warrants, insurance fee, charges for goods inspection by third parties.
Archymede can manage costs regarding the above mentioned services through a specific set of products and items.
Installation supervision costs
Boxes are available concerning information and data about the possible duration of the supervision, the daily rate, the daily costs for board and lodging, travel fares, and other expenses. The cost of supervision, and the impact, in percentage terms, of all the items are also calculated by the software.
Packaging
According to definitions of the packaging suggested in the supply terms and conditions (information on the quotation) the software suggests several rates in order to assess the value of packaging. Usually, such rates are applied by P.T.M. but they can be modified by the user.
Container Load Cost
The software calculations include the total weight of the goods, but the user must determine the standars average weight of the goods for each container according to its own experience. For PTM a safe estimate is approx. 6000 kgs. Type and No. of containers can be determined by Archymede. The software also estimates the total cost and the impact of the service on the total cost of the equipment based on the displayed fares.
Transport costs
Following the selection of the type and mode of transport, the software determines the kind of freight and makes an estimate of the required means of transportation (taking into account the unit cost of each container or truck). Information about the type of conveyance and the unit prices must also be entered by the user. Impact and fee of the insurance, when selected, are displayed in the appropriate boxes.
Additional charges
Each of the above mentioned costs has a specific box. The user can enter the amount in the box to have an estimate of the average rate on the total value of the goods. Due to a specific operational choice, Archymede keeps costs for services and costs for materials separated. In order to make the comprehension of quotations easier and clearer, it is also recommended that costs are summarized inside a specific environment.
This is because additional charges may vary depending on the supply terms and conditions and on the place of destination.
